Osentric Studios creates a modern and intuitive graphical user interface for the redeveloped website of the UCLA Center for Excellence in Engineering and Diversity (CEED). In a five-year collaborative project with other members of the UCLA CEED Website Development Group, the website has been taken from the research-intensive phases of its onset to a fully functional hub for student members and industry representatives alike.

The graphical design itself was completely overhauled multiple times before coming to its current style near the end of the project’s lifecycle. It was vital that the end-users of the website would find value and usability in the services provided. As the underlying programming changed, the design was re-imagined to fully utilize any and all new features. With dynamic content, member accounts, and an event system all streamed from a constantly updated database stored on a dedicated server, the website has evolved leaps and bounds over the previous iterations.

Osentric Studios creates a cohesive set of graphical assets to reinvent the experience at TEK, Advanced Media Network's gadgets, games, and technology blog.

Osentric Studios creates a cohesive set of graphical assets to reinvent the experience at TEK, Advanced Media Network’s gadgets, games, and technology blog. Through a collaboration with TEK’s Editor-In-Chief, Candice Shane, a rough concept was planned to remove the original dark blue theme and bring the design to a mass-market level. Within a few days TEK was completely transformed by implementing a theme we call T3Kblu, largely based on 3cWPTP by Wordpress Themes and made free by Internet Marketing Center. Here is what Candice had to say about Osentric Studio’s work on TEK’s new design: Everyone loves the new layout. They’re absolutely enthralled. They’re going to promote it on AMN, all over the place.

Only in its second year of operation, TEK continues to blaze a new trail in producing technology-focused content without industry standard formalities such as technical jargon. The website itself is built around the WordPress publishing platform, which uses an integrated theme engine to easily and effectively change the site’s look and feel. Leveraging a preexisting theme allowed TEK and Osentric Studios to focus exclusively on establishing a brand image, and in turn greatly reduced the project’s timeline. The new design is built around the ideals of stylized simplicity through clean lines, soft gradients, and a consistent color contrast. The name, T3Kblu [pronounced tek-bloo], is an abstract combination of TEK, blue, and the number three. This label is representative of the heavy influence of the color blue within the new three-column organizational structure. TEK’s updated layout aims to provide the user with a more streamlined format for receiving and interacting with the latest technology news.

About TEK

Fusing technology with the Internet’s fascination with a quick read, TEK provides reader-friendly news, reviews and pictorials without the tedious nature of your average technology site.

About Advanced Media, Inc.

Advanced Media’s Entertainment properties deliver exciting and informative experiences to millions of entertainment enthusiasts. Dedicated entirely to games, film, technology, and anime, AMN’s entertainment sites provide the content that attracts the industry’s biggest fans as well as the incoming, more casual individuals looking for the basics.

Welcome to the new Osentric Studios. Some time has passed since our last update, so we wanted to make this one a little bit more special. We hope you like it.

My name is Ruben Infante and I am the founder of Osentric Studios. I created this website in order to showcase the work that I produce under the Osentric brand. I have already populated our Graphic Design Portfolio with a variety of past and current work, and in the coming weeks I will be adding even more content. I have spent quite a bit of time fine-tuning the inner workings of this website to facilitate updating and I hope you enjoy the new layout. As with any shift to something new, there might be a few things that are not fully functional. Please let us know if you run into any problems. Thank you for visiting.

Osentric Studios creates a brand new image for the Higher Education Conference at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

Osentric Studios creates a brand new image for the Higher Education Conference at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Working closely with the African Student Union (ASU) at UCLA, designs were taken from concept to product months in advance of the event. Here is what a representative from ASU had to say about Osentric Studio’s work on the conference artwork: Thanks so much, I love what we have. That is exactly what we wanted and what I was talking about. Perfect.

In its ninth year of continued success, ASU’s Higher Education Conference fused entertainment with education and drew over 500 African American teenagers from surrounding Los Angeles area high schools to the UCLA campus. Appropriately, the theme for this year was Access Granted: Making the College Student, a phrase representative of the increased opportunities that surface after preparing for and obtaining a college education. This year’s Higher Education Conference raised awareness by means of guest speakers, special performances, a career fair, and multiple workshops on topics such as college admissions, financial aid, and culture. At the end of the day, students walked away with a wealth of information and tools to assist them in making a wise decision about their future educations and careers.

About UCLA’s African Student Union (ASU)

UCLA’s African Student Union is a group dedicated to increasing diversity on campus through mentoring, empowerment, and the leadership development of underrepresented students.
